Outward Bound Singapore!!! 11/7-15/7

Day 1

Assemble in school and had morning assembly but we didn't say the pledge... kind of funny... mr yap gave us a briefing followed by mrs oh... HAVE FUN LEARNING is what she said... haha... mr ong sent us to punggol jetty!!!! i boarded the boat with eli,yiqin,shenny,zul and many more... then i was told by the instructor serene that our first mission was to swim to the shore... i cried but zul and yiqin was extremely excited! haha... eli,zhining,melissa and yiqin comforted me... haha... but turned out to be a prank! scared me to death... arrived and all of us were being grouped... i was in COOK! my group had shaoying,sixuan,hafiz,daryl,shawn,alo,adeline,junting,jin guan,chiu wen,vivian,erin,mariam,syarah,salihah... my instructor is CINDY! she is cute... learnt how to pitch tent,kayak... we must know how to capsize and rescue... learnt a lot... also how to hold the paddle... haha... i sleep with shaoying,erin,mariam... then my campsite was near flying fox and rock climbing wall... very far from my store and had to walk a long distance before reaching... i was appointed the food i/c... feeling homesick =(


Day 2

woke up and went for height activities... HEIGHT!!! the day before was water activities and i was already very scared then now is height! learnt how to be a belayer,climber etc... then i loved to be a belayer... but everyone must at least tried once... we climbed a very short log... then followed that we proceeded to a rock wall... 12 metres!!! i was scared but managed to climb my first step... i climed without noticing that i was very high up and when i looked down... my legs turned jelly! haha... eli and my other friends encouraged me i carried on climbling...

the whole activity was great! haha... i managed to climb 9 metres... a great achievements! then had dinner!!! packed our bag for tomorrow land expedition! the bag was so super heavy!!! wondered what was the exact weight!! i hurt my knee...

Day 3

woke up very early for land expedition! check my bag again in case i left out anything! haha... then had breakfast... everyday eat bread for breakfast until getting sick of it! then off we go! on the way there was fun! we sang... school song as our instructor wanted to hear then we marched lile uniform group... snag malay song,chinese song... ahd a great time despite my bag was extremely heavy! Hiking for the first time and total my watch (cook) hiked for 11.3 km! we were proud of ourselves! cannot balance myself with the heavy bag and was named tortoise by shawn the crockroach! haha... we reached our checkpoint at the highest mountain in pulua ubin(puaka hill).. the view was superb! was memorised by the scenery and we took a photo! shoulder and leg was aching all over when we reached our final campsite at camp 1! the place was very beautiful and clean when compared to camp 2! we were so delighted that we were going to spend the night there! but was disappointed when we had to return to camp 2 the very next day! so we really cherished the time we were there! we started to pitch our tents and began our last height activities! don't know what the game was called but it some how or rather help me to overcome my fear of height! junting partner with me and was feeling thankful to him for helping me! i was crying all over! but hafiz was belaying me so i was not so scared! thanks to hafiz too! one of my crazy friends... i knew that eli was also there encouraging me! thanks! =)=p=). OUR TRADEMARKS!!! then had dinner but this time dinner was done by the cookhouse! so great! finally had a decent meal! then supper i didn't eat as i was still full... had a talk with sixuan and adeline... get to know them better! after that, all the 4 watches in camp1 was told to go to the multi-purpose hall and we were told about the sea expedition tomorrow.. we had to kayak AROUND the whole pulua ubin and reach campsite 2 within 8-9 hours!!! after the briefing, we packed our things and went to sleep.. i cut my elbow...

Day4

shawn came and woke us up.. after that, went to wash up and assemble... the day for sea expedition had arrived...all 4 watches united kayaking together... the 4 watches are magellan, cook, livingstone and hillary.. i pair up with hafiz then the journey was smooth but after a few hours there was a great change in weather! the waves was so strong that we stopped and gathered wore our ponchos for the rain to stopped! i was shievering all over then chatted with hafiz.. hafiz was there to accompany! when the rain stopped, the sun's heat was so great that it made me felt headache.. luckily i got no seasick! our plan to kayak around the whole pulau ubin was cancelled due to time constraints and we had to paddle back to campsite 1 and then to campsite 2.. we changed kayaks and i was with ihsan.. then eli! haha... eli and i paddled the last... then sixuan paired up with shawn... e sweeper was benedict and jonnane.. the three pairs of us werre chatting happily while kayaking! haha... eli and i sang song... then finally reached camp 2!!! was totally exhausted by that time!!! on the way there we saw a lot of dead fishes then made me feel like vomitting!! then i rested.. eli paddled alone first then i helped her... great friends forever!!! then we saw RAINBOW!!! for two times... within an hr? haha... thwn eli and i stopped to admire the rainbow... haha.. then eli laughed at me as i drew a rainbow then short of the colour indigo... haha... laughing all e way... then benedict called us siao... but eli and i were not feeling tired as we laughed and our tiredness fade away.. haha... a very fun day indeed!!! cut my three fingers...

Day 5

again woke up by shawn but this time he could not wake me up... shao ying woke me up instead then shaoying,daryl,shawn,alo and i woke up and went to clear our stores as our stores were not done by last nite... i guess daryl and i walked too fast as when turned my back,we can't see shaoying,shawn and alo... so we continued walking... we chatted nonsense as we had not fully awake... i went to collect the keys and started clearing the stores! a tiring day!! haha... then the whole watch met up with cindy for our last and final debrief... the whole atmosphere was weird... we wrote down our commitments... then cindy cut out each of our commitments... i felt like crying as since that we are no longer COOK but back to who we are! i will always remember the time cook spent together! no more COOK! partings are always so sad! but this obs camp bonded elizabeth,hafiz,valerie,gary,sixuan,daryl,shawn and many of my friends together!!! Thanks everyone in COOK especially Cindy!!! u make a great difference in my life!!! I miss you!!! i cut my feet...

FRIENDSHIP IS A GREAT THING!!!
